Chapter 34 Late Night Attack

• I don’t know if Jasper is coming home tonight, but I’m glad to have peace, somewhere to hide from Joel. I sleep well, waking and hearing the door close downstairs, smiling I sit up, and hear him moving. I look next to the bed and pick up the note.
• Called in to check, you were out cold. I’m staying at your dad's to make it less obvious. X
• I smile at his note, then pause realising that Jasper isn’t coming home tonight. I hear the movement downstairs and begin to panic. Grabbing the gown I wrap it around myself. There is a chance he has come back early, but I don’t feel confident, I hear the bedroom door open and look towards it freezing.
