Chapter 11 Hurting

• Getting in my car I drive to the club, I know my dad said in two hours but my mum is out and I’m not sitting at the house alone all day. I walk into the club and people turn and look at me. I can’t see my dad anywhere. Maybe coming here early wasn’t a good idea? My dad won’t mind, but it means if Jasper comes I have no way of avoiding his conversation again.
• “Now Harley, are you meant to be here?” I turn to see Diesel and laugh. My dad won’t mind.
• “My dad said to meet him here, not for a few hours, but I’m bored at home.” I shrug and he nods.
