Chapter 36
- Evy
- I tie the side knot of my bikini bottoms and immediately my eyes dart towards the full-length mirror in my room. I smile as I realize how stunning I look and let out a sigh right after. Spending weekends by the pool has become a delightful routine for us, so I decided to do something different for Gael this morning. He's not into nightclubs or dancing at all, but I enjoy those things, so I thought of bringing a bit of my fun world to our mansion. I put my hair up into a ponytail with the help of a black elastic band, pleased with the result, and step away from the mirror to grab a rectangular-shaped speaker before leaving the room.
- In the leisure area, I find my husband lounging on a deck chair, wearing sunglasses and black swim trunks. His light-toned tanned skin stands out amidst the subdued colors around. There's a glass with a hint of whiskey beside him, and I catch my breath as I deliberately start to observe his muscular body laid out there. The square jaw with a light stubble, the thick neck, well-defined chest with a few hairs. His abdomen boasts a few defined lines, and there's a hint of something intriguing in his swim trunks that makes me anticipate. I decide to step out of my anonymity and walk along the narrow brick pathway, ascending the two steps that lead me to the wide pool edge. Gael takes off his glasses as soon as he notices my presence, his hungry eyes instantly scanning my entire body, stopping at the sound system I hold in my hand.
