Chapter 37

  • Once they arrived back at the palace, Freya was pulled into the hall and made to kneel. She glanced at the ministers' features before turning to meet Arthur, whose eyes were already fixed on her. She saw his expression, which was one of astonishment and disappointment, indicating that he did not think she had not done it.
  • With an evil smirk on his face, the Chief Minister approached her. "You tried murder on the King countless times and got away with it, but there is no reason for you to claim innocence this time." He grinned at her again before turning to face the King. She was having a hard time coming up with an idea since her heart was so heavy. "How did they plan all of this? Why didn't I learn that they removed my arrow on time?" She gave Arthur a quick look. "He described it as a typical hunting trip that occurs twice a year. Does this imply that he is aware of everything and is blind to the fact that I am being accused?"
