Chapter 23

• Freya peered out the window and saw that it was already dark. She checked the clock and realized it was about 9 p.m., so she softly got out of bed to avoid disturbing Arthur's slumber. "After only five hours of sleep, I doubt I will be able to sleep tonight...I need to handle a few things."
• She fixed her gaze on Arthur, who was still sleeping sweetly; he seemed more attractive asleep.
• "I cannot be fooled by your appearance..." She forced her way out and tiptoed into her own room. Using her Alpha powers, she was able to find her closet and remove her assassin suit. She closed the door, went into the bathroom, changed before opening the door, and exited the room through the window.
