• Retno gazed at the ceiling of Rio's small and not too spacious boarding room. Her mind was wandering far, thinking about what she was experiencing at the moment. As she turned her head to the side, she could see Rio's face sleeping soundly next to her in a sideways position. Retno smiled at Rio's face. Unlike usual, sleeping with Rio always aroused her libido as a woman. But this time, she felt peaceful and calm instead. There was no desire in her to engage in intimate relations with Rio. She just needed Rio's company to feel that she was not alone in this transient world.
• "Darling, why aren't you sleeping yet?" Rio's question caught Retno off guard.
• "Not sleepy yet," Retno replied shortly as she began to sit up on the bed.
