Chapter 18
- After returning from Mount Prau, Rio's body felt sore and tired. It would be a lie to say that he didn't feel exhausted after the climb, especially with the burden on his back. Just when he wanted to enjoy a long sleep, unfortunately, his alarm clock was already ringing loudly. With still sleepy eyes, Rio quickly headed to the bathroom in his room. In less than half an hour, Rio was ready and headed to Retno's house. The peaceful journey, coupled with the bright and warm morning atmosphere in Jogja, made him feel as calm as his heart. Little did he know that he would soon surrender his heart to a widow named Tri Retno Wahani.
- Upon arriving at Retno's house, everything still seemed quiet and empty. Even the lights were still on, indicating that Susi had not returned from her hometown visit. Rio entered through the back door, as Susi had given him a key to access it while she was away. Without trying to find Retno first, Rio immediately turned off the lights and opened the curtains to let in some fresh air. After doing all that, Rio grabbed a broom and started sweeping the floors from the kitchen to the living room. Rio shook his head. He didn't expect that sweeping Retno's house on just the first floor would drain his energy. Now he understood why Susi had requested time off. She probably needed to rest.
- When it was already ten in the morning and Retno had not shown up, Rio decided to call her. He tried several times, but she didn't pick up. Bravely, Rio climbed the stairs towards Retno's room. Upon reaching the door, he knocked.
