I just found out that Kate is back in Canada. It’s time to put the next part of the plan into action. I need to have her back in my arms, and to make that happen, Hannah needs to fulfill her part of the deal. She’s been driving me crazy, always throwing things in my face. I’ll prove to her that she’s wrong and that Kate does love me. I decided to take the risk and return to Canada. According to my father, I'm not being sought there for what happened with Kate—at least not yet.
Hannah reluctantly comes back with me, thinking I'm too obsessed with Kate. She doesn’t understand that what I feel is real and consumes me entirely. She thinks we should forget all this and live together far away from everything. But I feel nothing for her; I can't even have sex with her anymore since I shot Kate, even though it wasn’t intentional. I only see Kate’s body in front of me. Our last time together in my parents’ hotel only made me fall harder for her. I sip my whiskey and take a deep breath. When I open my eyes, I see Hannah in lingerie in front of me.
