• I wake up to the brightness on my face and feel a sharp pain in my head, causing me to squint and close my eyes again. I open them slowly, trying to figure out where I am. Gradually, I recall what happened and realize that my body is sore. I sigh and get up slowly, approaching him. I grab the sheet, but when I think about covering myself, he grabs my hands. I let out a startled scream.
• "You want to give me a heart attack? I thought you were still asleep," he says, chuckling. "Sorry, little one. I'm just not used to it. I'm a light sleeper."
