Chapter 21 Beyond Grateful
- That whole night, Daisy had thought of many ways to retaliate without using her own hands. She cannot be reckless this time. "If anyone is to be kicked out, it's not going to be me!" Daisy did not notice what time she fell asleep but with a smile on her face.
- Trisha woke up almost the same time Daisy dozed off.
- Trisha slept straight for eight hours, and she woke up with the sun already bright up. It wasn't the sunlight that woke her up, though, because the curtains on her window were thick and dark to let them sleep as much as they wanted or as much as they needed after a night at work. But Trisha likes to see the riverside facing her window whenever she wakes up in the morning, so she would pull her curtains to the side while enjoying her coffee or morning cereals. They are not allowed to cook in their room, but they can eat. She has a table by the window where she also sits as she studies. She took online classes as she cannot continue going to school every day with her job at Sweet Haven, she has a lot of free time after she gets her rest from night duty, but it doesn't fit with the school's schedule for her classes. These arrangements fitted her well, so she was able to give her best in her studies despite having her job. She is taking an accounting course. She passed the entrance exam to the city's top University after graduating high school, and she enrolled there, but when her mom had an accident, and she needed a job, she stopped and took an online course instead when she got settled at work. She took a hundred days of training with only free food and accommodation. She had to borrow money from the management to pay her mom's hospital bills, so she really gave her best to prove her worth to be given a chance in front of her employers. She is beyond grateful that they did not make it difficult for Trisha to get her request. In return, she diligently and obediently followed everything the manager would order her to do.
