Chapter 20 Expressed Envy
- "He will do whatever he thinks is right to be done with you," Sandra lit a smoke and puffed its smoke heavily as if trying to fill her whole being with its smoke to blow it away after.
- The manager feels too stressed with this service girl. She brings money to the club as clients like her, too. But she is also a problematic employee. No matter how hard they train every one of the girls with proper manners and etiquette, she only uses them towards her clients. Daisy doesn't know how to treat her colleagues well and fairly. She seems to be in competitions all the time. Daisy doesn't like being inferior to other colleagues, especially to the ones who came later than her. She expects them to be below her level, but there is no standard for that because the clients will be the ones to decide about that, just like Trisha, who just came a few months ago but was in training until a week ago. The management offered her first service to Mister Vero to satisfy him, but they never thought he would request any arrangements to keep Trisha serving him alone with all her extra service. They used to offer him the newcomers when they thought he would like the girl as they already knew his preferences, but Denny had never said anything about any of the girls he had been with before Trisha, not even when Sandra served him during her service girl days.
- Daisy could not say anything to retort the manager. It wasn't Sandra's words alone. It was Denny Vero's, after all. The service girl had no way to deny her faults, so she bowed her head quietly. But bent down her head was not because she was shy or intimidated. Daisy wanted to hide her furious face from the manager.
