Chapter 141 Apologetic

• The two ladies, Trixie and Trisha, were leisurely chatting about random things while waiting for Denny and Don Carlo to get home. Trisha did not know what kind of business deal they were attending to, but Trixie was well aware as Don Carlo was able to brief her of their plans when the older couple excused themselves as Don Carlo needed to have a change of clothes after dinner and left again with Denny. Trixie noticed Trisha was yawning; she urged the girl to have a rest and lie down on the chaise longue in the living room. Trixie was anxious to know the outcome of the gents' mission, so she was still wide awake and enthusiastic even if it was late. She excused herself to pretend she was going to the bathroom, but she actually left Trisha to get a warm knee blank. Trixie offered a room for Trisha to lie down on while waiting for Denny, but Trisha declined politely again and again. Trixie had no other choice than to suggest Trisha lay on the leisure chair she was sitting on across from where Trixie was seated on across from her chair.

• "She must have been too tired," Trixie carefully moved to spread the blanket atop Trisha; she was like a mother too careful not to wake a newborn baby in its nap.
