Chapter 8
- “I have to take care of something” Alessandro muttered and left immediately.
- Alessandro was in front of a house, this is where the address shows.
- Alessandro stood in front of the house, his breathing heavy as the image of what happened sixteen years ago flashed through his mind. He had done his research and learned that with the video he made, he could bring his family's murderers to justice. That was his plan, and that's why he visited the cop.
- He met Gandhi, trusting the cop like he used to. He handed his phone to Gandhi, who didn't return it. Instead, Gandhi told him to come back the next day, saying he needed to show the proof to his superior. Alessandro left, believing him, but when he returned the next day, Gandhi denied ever seeing him. Alessandro asked for his phone, but Gandhi refused, even hitting the poor boy when he kept insisting. Some cops returned him to the orphanage, and Alessandro hadn't seen Gandhi since. But he had vowed to make him pay if they ever met again.
- And now is the time.
- A car arrived at the place sometime later and Gandhi came out of the car.
- "I know you'd come for me," Gandhi said, a smirk on his face.
- "So why did you lie that day?" Alessandro asked, his eyes narrowing.
- "What did you think? Why would I want to save a poor boy when there was a better offer?, Anothonio show up at my doorstep, he offered me 10 million euros, in place of the evidence so I gave him" Gandhi sneered.
- Alessandro's eyes widened in shock. "You took money and didn't care about justice, even though you were a cop?"
- Gandhi shrugged. "Who cares about that? I actually made a copy of the evidence. You can have it." He threw a hard drive at Alessandro.
- Alessandro caught it, his mind racing. "So you're saying Anthonio Argento bribed you?"
- Gandhi nodded. "Yes, and he threatened to kill my family if I didn't cooperate."
- Alessandro's anger boiled over. He pulled out his gun and pointed it at Gandhi. "You're going to pay for what you did."
- Gandhi pulled out his own gun, and they pointed them at each other.
- "Why don't you move past all this, Alessandro? Anthonio has disappeared, which means he's probably dead. What else do you want?"
- Alessandro shot Gandhi's hand, and he cried out in pain. "Now listen to me," Alessandro said coldly. "I will hunt everyone involved in my family's death, and I will kill them." He shot Gandhi in the other hand, and Gandhi screamed.
- "You're a monster!" Gandhi spat at him.
- Alessandro shot him again, this time in the skull. Gandhi slumped to the ground, dead.
- Alessandro climbed onto his bike and rode off angrily, his mind consumed by what Gandhi had told him.
- Meanwhile, Harmony stretched her body tiredly. She had been working non-stop today and wasn't used to it. Her brother was always the one who did all the work. She hadn't seen him today and really missed him.
- "We're done for now. Let's go rest before the party tonight," Star said beside her.
- Harmony let out a sigh of relief and followed Star to the maid quarters. As they approached, the loud sound of a machine distracted them. Alessandro came down from the bike, his face red with anger.
- Harmony gasped and looked away quickly, feeling afraid. Alessandro started approaching her, his eyes fixed on her.
- "Follow me," he said coldly.
- Harmony followed him, confused. "What's going on?" she asked.
- Alessandro didn't answer. He kept walking until they reached his room. The door was open, and they entered. Harmony gasped at the wide room, everything painted in black. It looked beautiful, but she was too afraid to appreciate it.
- "Strip," Alessandro said coldly.
- Harmony's eyes widened in shock. "What?" she asked, her voice shaking.
- "Don't make me repeat myself," Alessandro said, his eyes flashing with anger.
- Harmony started taking off her clothes, her hands shaking. Alessandro kept watching her, his eyes fixed on her body. She felt like the ground should open and swallow her.
- "Get on the bed," Alessandro said coldly.
- Harmony's eyes widened in fear. She knew what that meant. Was he going to hurt her? Star had told her something similar, and now it was happening.
- "Please...don't do this to me," Harmony begged, staring at the floor. She was too afraid to meet Alessandro's cold gaze.
- "You shouldn't have saved me, Gattino," Alessandro said, his voice cold. "Now I won't stop until I destroy you. I'll ruin you and break you beyond repair."
- Harmony's eyes filled with tears. "Please..." she begged.
- "Get on the bed. Don't make me repeat myself again," Alessandro said coldly.
- Harmony gulped nervously and climbed onto the bed, her heart racing.
