Chapter 15

• Harmony hesitated, her hand hovering over the phone as she debated whether to call the clan doctor. Alessandro's injuries were severe, and he needed medical attention ASAP. But something held her back. She remembered how he had kept his wounds hidden from the rest of the clan, always taking care of himself. Maybe he wanted to keep this a secret too.
• With a newfound determination, Harmony searched the room and found a stash of medical tools. She was lucky; Alessandro always prepared for the worst. She got to work, carefully removing the bullets from his body, including the one on his shoulder. Her hands trembled, but she focused on the task at hand.
• As she treated and bandaged each wound, Harmony couldn't help but wonder why Alessandro had kept this from everyone. Did he trust her more than the others? The thought sent a warmth through her chest.
