Chapter 23 Battle Line

• Bethany slumped onto her couch, her phone buzzing with relentless notifications. Her mind raced, haunted by the events from college that seemed to have come full circle.
• The memories of that painful night were vivid: Greg had been pursuing Michelle, and Bethany, heartbroken and lost, had stumbled into a party. She had drunk heavily, trying to drown out the pain.
