• “I’ve been thinking,” Michelle continues, her voice now laced with a scheming edge. “If we’re going to make this work, we need to address the way others see us. Bethany is creating a lot of negative perceptions. I think we should capitalize on that.”
• Greg looks at Michelle with a mix of confusion and concern. “Capitalize on it? What are you talking about?”
• Michelle’s eyes gleam with a calculating light. “I’ve noticed how Bethany’s trying to present herself as this perfect, wronged party. But I know there are aspects of her life and behaviour that aren’t as rosy as she portrays. We need to subtly highlight those aspects. Not overly, but in a way that shifts public opinion.”
