• A few weeks passed by in a blur, with Wynter nearing her 8th month. Both she and her doctor were pleased with her progress. Shadrach accompanied her to all her appointments, and overall, life was running smoothly for them. However, as the days drew closer to her delivery, Shadrach faced the reality of having to part ways with her for a while.
• Today, Shadrach sat in his room, scribbling down thoughts and ideas for a plot that had been swirling in his mind. He often used this method to clear his head. But beneath the surface, he was grappling with dangerous plans that he felt he needed to keep from Wynter. He knew that bringing her along or revealing his locations would put her in jeopardy.
