• “Shit!” Wynter cursed under her breath. She had been stuck in traffic for an hour. On her way to pick up Shadrach, she felt like she had already wasted enough time getting everything in place. The thought that Shadrach might be waiting for her near the park worried her.
• She kept honking at the cars in front of her, but they didn’t budge. It was unusual to see traffic in that area, but it seemed like there was an emergency, which explained the delay.
