• Wynter was devastated by Shadrach's reaction, and she worried that he might have misinterpreted her friendship with Ethan as something more.
• She wanted to run after him, but Wynter had been warned to stop right there, so she let him go. However, she knew that Shadrach would return the next day since Bella was still in the hospital. She even doubted whether he had gone to see someone or if he just wanted to get away from her. Nevertheless, she understood that he needed peace, so she decided to back down. But she planned to return the next day to clarify the whole situation with him.
