Chapter 48 Lost In Misunderstanding
- I had no choice but to take a taxi home because I didn't see Marcus' car when I left my parents' house. I chuckled bitterly and felt even more hurt when I realized he had indeed left me here. I took a deep breath and left the place where I felt suffocated.
- I remained silent inside the taxi, gazing out the window. I wondered if yelling at my father earlier was the right thing to do; I felt guilty about it. Despite being furious with Dad, it wasn't right for me to shout at him. Maybe I should just apologize to him later? For now, I need to deal with my husband who still hasn't acknowledged me. We need to have a proper and sincere conversation because I don't want this to drag on any longer, let alone escalate into months or, worse, years!
- Upon reaching home, I quickly entered the gate. Once inside, I immediately spotted Marcus' car in the garage, indicating he was already home. I rushed in, and in the dining area, I saw Nora wiping the table. I just smiled at her and hurried to our bedroom, hoping Marcus was there, but he wasn't. He's still being stubborn. I took a deep breath and decided to walk to his office at home, knowing that's where he'd be if he wasn't in our bedroom.
