Chapter 29 The Unseen Arrival

• Until I left our house for work, I didn't see Lucien Marcus Halloway coming home. Where could he have slept and eaten last night? I want to be mad at him because the truth is, I'm really irritated. But my excessive worry for Marcus still prevails, especially since I haven't received any texts or calls from him. I tried calling Marcus, but his phone is already out of coverage. As I drive to the Halloway Empire now in my car, I can't help but feel extremely anxious. Is Marcus okay? Should I just call Lauren and ask her if she knows where Marcus is right now?
• When I arrive at the company, I'll go straight to Marcus' office to find him, see if he's already in his office, and check on his well-being. Gosh! This is getting too paranoid. It's irritating.
