Chapter 33 A Flicker Of Hope
- "M-Mister, please let me go," I weakly pleaded when I saw the man who had kidnapped me enter.
- He carried a glass of water, and I couldn't help but feel thirsty. My body had weakened, and it had been a while since I had taken a sip of water. The man approached me, offering the glass to my lips. I drank eagerly, finishing the water to quench my thirst. Tears welled up again. I never expected to experience being kidnapped. I thought this only happened in movies, but now I was feeling it firsthand.
- "Be thankful we have some mercy on you because you've been crying since earlier! Sorry if all we can give you is water; we don't have the budget for your food, so endure it," the man who gave me water said coldly.
