Maxwell’s POV
Is it weird that I want to drag Stephanie out of this house and keep her far away from her own father?
Yeah, I know I’m being paranoid. Don’t blame me, I have so much on my plate right now, I can’t bear it if something happens to her, I’ll just break down. Everything is just happening so fast and it’s so overwhelming. My boys are still being held by Lorenzo and he is bent on keeping them there until he gets them to talk. I really don’t blame him for being so careful, if you’ve been through hell like him, you would be forced to play smart in everything. I know he’ll come around, I just have to give it a little time, besides, I now have Graciela in there. There is no way she would turn her back on me, at some point, she would be forced to help out and speak up for the boys that had kept her safe when she first got back to the city. Even if she doesn’t want to help me, I’m sure she would come around when Stephanie talks to her, or better yet, I can have Jasper talk to her sister Fiona. She is practically a part of the pack now, so I’m pretty sure that she can help us convince her sister to speak to her boyfriend on our behalf. I’m sure she wouldn’t want us to lose this war, that would mean death for her best friend and her kid sister. She has so much at stake here, she has to do something to help us, she won’t turn her back on family right?
