I’ve never felt this scared in my whole life. I’ve always prided myself as a tough, powerful man, who would have thought that I would be humbled by a mere woman. She had been so determined to leave that it scared the shit out of me. I have never seen her this way before, I have never seen her so determined and tenacious since she came into this Castle, she looked so confused and frustrated, like she is completely fed up with me.
When I saw her with that idiot, Miguel, I knew I had to act fast before I lose her completely. I knew exactly what she was about to say, and I know that if she finally accepts my rejection, then our bond would be severed completely. At first, I had tried to force her to change her mind because of Scott. I let Scott out, I let him have his way with her, kissing her with so much passion and desire, reminding her that she is still mated to us. I have to admit that I kind of like this game of cat and mouse that I’m playing with her, it’s so much fun to watch her try so hard to please me, I just don’t want to make it easy on her. I thought kissing her would remind her of the beauty of the mate bond, I thought it would make her stay, I thought she would hold on for just a little bit longer, but she was bent on leaving me, her mind was made up already.
