Chapter 53 So Fucking Pissed

• Still Maxwell’s POV
• I walked out, not because I couldn’t beat the shit out of him but because deep within me, I knew that he had said the truth, I pushed her into the arms of another man. It’s all my fault, if I wasn’t such an asshole, there is no way she would have been with him. I had no reason to throw a tantrum over this issue, it’s all my fucking fault and now I have to sit calm and bear the consequences of my actions.
• I walked out of the bar, my heart still burning in anger. I saw Harriet and Stephanie standing in the hallway, but I don’t have anything to say to them, I’m too pissed to think straight, I’m too fucking pissed to act rationally. I just walked past everyone, walking down to my room in silence. I’m not going to fight over her, no, I won’t do it, I have absolutely no right to fight over her. If being with another man is going to make her happy, then I’m cool with it. I got into my room, shutting the door behind me as I thought about everything that has happened between us since she walked in through that door.
