• I trudged downstairs despite knowing Xavier would disapprove of me leaving the bed. Upon reaching the bottom, I found him coldly regarding a distraught woman while Vincent stood emotionlessly beside him. Daisy, however, was trying to calm the woman down. Her scent was vaguely familiar, and she whipped her head around at the sound of my footsteps.
