• Before I drove to Human City, I wanted to stop by the restaurant where Leia had planned a date with Eric. As much as I wanted Leia to date no one, I couldn't impose my feelings on her when I was engaged to other women. Who was I to meddle in her life?
• As I entered the restaurant, many heads bowed to me in respect, acknowledging me as their Alpha. Leia's eyes stared at me, as if my appearance captivated her. I felt happy that her attention was on me as I made my way to their table, and my wolf was happily purring at the attention.
