• My eyes were slowly becoming heavy as I watched the girls parade before me in hope that I'd pick one of them as a mate. They were solely mistaken If they thought I'd do such. The only reason I was still sitting here was to humor the elders as well as take my mind off Leilani, which wasn't even working.
• "Alpha king, this is the last of the girls, do you like anyone in particular?" Elder Matthew asked, staring at me with curiousity evident in his brown eyes. I wasn't even surprised by how they were willing to offer their daughters to me knowing fully well I found my mate. They were afterall selfish and power hungry, so they're willing to throw away their daughters happiness, although some of the girls didn't mind, I could tell by the looks on their faces.
