Chapter 42 - Goodbye

• “What?” I couldn't help but ask her again just to make sure that what I heard was true.
• “If you are done with me being captive here, can I go away?” she asked me again, and now I don’t have the guts to face her. I turned towards the river and let go of her hand. “This is all becoming too much for me, and now I can’t even understand why I am actually here. If you want to kill me for torturing you, then kill me. If you think that I don’t deserve to die, then let me go from here,” she said to me, and though I could feel waves of emotions from her, I am still unable to find a way to tell her that I want her as my mate.
• “Is something or someone troubling you here?” I asked her when I didn’t have anything else to say.
