Chapter 40 - Unexpected Guests
- He fell to his knees, and I instantly shouted, "Don't shoot!" I went towards Noah and pulled out the dart from his arm. When I saw that his skin started turning red instead of grey, I took a deep calming breath. They shot him with wolfsbane, not silver. If it were silver, it would be almost impossible to tackle the situation without giving him long term issues.
- "Go inside," Noah said through clenched teeth, and I rolled my eyes at him.
- "I am a huntress, Noah. You're the one in danger, not me," I said to him, scanning the area. "Go inside," I instructed him and about to head towards the woods when he grabbed my hand.
