Chapter 58 A Hearty Breakfast
- "Hey, old man! Good morning!" Val greeted her dad as she sat at their breakfast table.
- "You brat! Don't you know how to call your dad properly?" Edward Monte-Carlo frowned at his seventeen-year-old boyish daughter. He may look ugly, frowning at her, but deep inside his heart, he is widely smiling because he is pleased with the way she is growing up. Not a fragile girl but tough and strong, physically and mentally. She can also be said to be emotionally stable despite growing up without her mother, who died right after she was born.
- "Ahm... let me think..." She playfully answered while she was starting to pick what food to eat. "You are my dad, and you are an old man, so both are right. What are you grumpy about?" She started to spread her favorite peanut butter on her toasted wheat bread before she added an elongated "Old man." teasing her dad even more. Then she smugly ignored him as she started to munch on her food.
