• As Alexa bit down on her lower lip, she couldn't help but wonder why Maggie's words had such a chilling effect on her, causing a shiver to run down her spine. Despite everything, it was apparent that Nick Ryan did not fit the mold of an alpha male. While he may have felt a tad upset by the circumstances, he consistently demonstrated a rational mindset.
• Filled with dogs, the living room was thoroughly examined by her watchful eyes. Lots of dogs. Dogs come in different varieties, including puppies, mutts, purebreds, and hound dogs. Some crowded the kitchen, bumping into tables as they ate their food and slurped water. Others kept up a furious pace as they explored their new home, sniffing in corners and moving from room to room. Displaying its playful and destructive tendencies, the wire-haired terrier took great pleasure in tearing apart a throw pillow with its sharp teeth. The black poodle, full of energy and excitement, leapt onto the comfortable couch and then proceeded to find a cozy spot to settle down for a well-deserved nap.
