Chapter 20

• "Gabriella, I'm sorry if our choice made you feel bad. It happened pretty quickly for both of us, you know." She laughed, then put herself in the middle of them. "We knew each other from years ago and when we met again, we got caught up in a whirlwind." She pretended to look up with adoration at her current husband, though her fists ached to get one good punch in. He wrapped his arms around her, and the heat from his body burned through her yoga pants. "You need to leave. Tonight is our honeymoon night."
• Gabriella looked at them with a critical tone. "Odd you wouldn't be taking a trip somewhere more...romantic."
• Nick came through for her. "I have work obligations so we delayed our island getaway."
