• Michael held her look for a second, then inclined his head. “I’ll go get a tablet.” He turned to Rafael, “can we move Leila somewhere with a camera?”
• Rafael straightened away from the wall. “I’ll call Ira.” He looked at me for a moment, then walked out of the group, down the hall.
• Walking past him, coming toward us were four Elders. Cyril, Izzy and Elders Marinus and Segos. A shiver went down my spine as I noted how menacing the two men were.
