• The sun was starting to set as I sat watching the others arrive. A few just appeared, but most came through a door or gate. Was it weird that someone appearing out of nowhere wasn’t startling me now?
• “You get Romulus on the phone now. I want to speak to him as soon as possible.” Quinton was telling a man I didn’t know.
• “I thought those of royal blood were able to bypass the wards?” Paisley asked to Victor. “We can port inside the palace and use our abilities, why couldn’t we port outside the gates?”
