• The two elders that had been sent to check on the other realms weren’t back so we were waiting. My mind paused on the thought of realms. Other realms. I was still having trouble swallowing the fact that there were other realms. Five others existed outside of the world I lived in. Well, lived, until I climbed that fire escape.
• Bethany leaned closer. “The woman Rafael is talking to is Clairee, the leader of the witch’s temple.”
• I looked at Clairee for a moment. Aside from the cloak she wore, she didn’t look like a witch. Then again, neither did Bethany.
