Chapter 53 Rain

• It has been four days since Brax and Aaron left for the Alpha meeting, as if the weather knows the trouble in my heart, it has rained almost nonstop since the night they left. Our pack is on higher ground, so the rain although annoying hasn’t caused any flooding. However, some of the roads that lead outside of the pack on the outskirts of our territory have flooded and I have heard that a few other packs have had some roads wash out. Thankfully it sounds like no one has lost their home or lives in all this mess.
• I am trudging up the front steps of the house from coming home from working my volunteer shift at the hospital. It has been extremely quiet at the hospital, and I haven’t had a lot to do so I am home a little earlier. I made sure to call ahead and let Emily know. The last thing I want is to walk in on my brother and my sister-in-law getting hot and heavy. Ug, I cringe just thinking about it. I have been staying with them since Brax left, Tristan insisted, and it has given me time to be with Tristan and Emily before turning 18, and hopefully if we are right, getting to officially be with my mate.
