Chapter 26 A Private Moment

• Braxton’s POV
• I was standing under the willow tree with Addy. I don’t know why I lead her here. It just felt right when I guided her outside. We had so many memories under this tree where we would play as kids. It always gave us a sense of privacy under the sweeping canopy. I was looking down into her eyes, and everything in me was yelling to kiss her. I wanted to taste her lips so bad. Blaze was pacing and whining in my head. He has had as much trouble as I have with the thought of what would have happened if we didn’t get there in time.
• When she had told me Blaze was the last thing she saw before she fell unconscious and she knew she was safe, I felt him sit up proudly in my head.
