• I was still watching her walk away when I felt a nudge from Aaron. I snapped my eyes back over to him, knowing I had been caught watching her ass. I looked at him sheepishly, “I uhh…” he looked at me with a huge grin, “You may want to watch your wondering eyes around your Beta or you won’t be Alpha for long.” He nudged my shoulder again as he snickered and walked towards the celebration.
• We all made it out to the back garden, and I was immediately stopped by pack members congratulating me. I kept looking around to see where Addy went but would get stopped every few feet. I finally caught her eye from across the garden. She was standing with her brother and his new mate, talking with my mother. As if she could sense my gaze, she lifted her head and our eyes met. She gave me a sweet smile. She shifted her eyes towards the packhouse door, then I saw her lift her drink and excuse herself.
