Chapter 28

• They are given the menu, but Max rejects it and orders mashed potatoes with pork loin. Giselle imitates him and orders the same, plus dessert. The two stare at the cutlery, as if they were strangers on a blind date, but when the food arrives, everything improves a bit.
• She doesn't want to ask him about his appointment with the doctor, because she doesn't want to intrude.
• "Now, after you got into his house," she sighs with annoyance, because she tells herself the most obvious things and she doesn't like it. When they finish, Max asks for the check and they leave, with Giselle hoping that this is the end.
