• The last place I wanted to be in this club, but I just had to come for Caspian's sake. I'm truly happy for him and super proud as well. He's doing so great, not just as a lawyer but as a CEO as well. The club music barrs In my ears, filling the whole room. We are all seated at a table and Ava and Caspian keep chattering while he occasionally types on his phone which has been blowing up with congratulatory messages.
• Astrid on the other hand is seated quietly as she just watches them, smiling from time to time. Shaking my head slowly, I look away from her gulping down the remaining drink in my glass. She really has the guts to tell Ava that we’re dating. I'm kind of annoyed by it but I'm glad. At least it will get Ava off my radar for a bit.
