• “Margot!” Linda headed toward her stepdaughter with an open arms. “I thought you’re not coming. I’m surprised that you even prepared this party for that guy,” she commented, pouting as she gently bumped her cheek against Margot’s.
• “I’m quite surprised myself. Well, I made a preparation months ago so let it be,” Margot responded, keeping a playful smile on her lips.
• Linda shook her head and took a sip from her glass. “Let’s enjoy the night then,” she remarked and grinned. “Your dad said he can’t come, I hope you don’t mind. He has business to take care of.”
