Chapter 39 ‘Stealing'

• Everyone gasped and turned their heads to Nadine who couldn’t bring herself to step forward. None of the people at the table were pleased by what they heard. To think they were gathered to continue the celebration for Harry and Margot’s third wedding anniversary that ended in disaster last time, seeing an outsider join them was distasteful.
• “What are you saying, Margot? Did you just allow your husband to bring another woman into your house?” Ryan asked his daughter, eyeing his son-in-law who flinched to his every word.
• “What can I do? Harry insisted,” Margot shrugged. “He said it will only be temporary,” she added, putting Harry in the hot seat.
