Chapter 36 One Step Closer

• Margot took a deep breath after waking up the next morning. She finished a bottle of wine and managed to sleep in bed after getting drunk. She couldn’t help celebrating the small win she had.
• Dragging her body out of the bed, Margot took a shower. She spent a good ten minutes washing off the stench of alcohol from her body. She blew her hair dry, dressed up, and went to check on her husband. She wondered if he was able to manage his work and his secret affair.
• “Margot? What are you doing here?” Harry yawned after opening the door when Margot didn’t stop knocking. “I told you, don’t disturb me. I came here to work, not to go sightseeing with you,” he added.
