Chapter 2 Frivolous Partner
- “Since you're new, my advice is to let them do whatever they want to you. If they want to fuck you in the ass, let them, if you refuse then you... “She falls silent, earning a fearful look from the young girl “Just please them and that's it, they won't hurt you.
- “Yes “She nods, sniffing.
- The brunette presses her lips together, she was good at lying from time to time. Especially when the girl in front of her was so naive. Despite not being a virgin, it was clear that she had no experience when it came to sleeping with a guy.
- “What are you doing here, Serena? “The voice of the idiot who always harassed them echoed behind her, she hated that guy.
- “I'm helping her get ready to leave.
- “You're a damn busybody, no one authorized you to do this shit. Go work, it's your turn to dance on stage, that's the only thing you should be doing here. Not giving advice.
- Serena hears the man's words very close to her, if she said one more word, that guy was capable of hitting her, but it was impossible for her not to say anything, she detested his presence and not to mention his disgusting tone of voice. But for her own good and possibly for that girl's, she wouldn't respond.
- “Good luck “She whispers to the young girl, whose real name she never knew.
- “Claudia, my name is Claudia “The girl smiles at her just as the guard takes Serena by the elbow to drag her out of the dressing room.
- Seconds after that inconvenience, a tall, muscular man enters the dressing room. The girl backs away at the sight of the imposing stranger, her whole body began to tremble at his closeness. She didn't know what to expect, Serena didn't tell her what would come next.
- “It's time to go, put this on “The man throws her a heavy red cloak, it had a hood big enough to cover most of her face “Cover yourself with the hood and follow me.
- She nods, remembering the brunette's words, she needed to be obedient if she didn't want to get hurt. Once outside, she would look for ways to escape and return to her family. She thought she would never disobey her father again. If she returned to them alive, she would promise them. Swallowing hard, she put on the cloak and left that detestable dressing room.
- “Keep your eyes on the ground, just follow my footsteps.
- Obeying the man's commands, she did as he asked. She didn't know where she was going, as everything was very dark, but from the hardness of the ground she assumed it was asphalt. Possibly a road or something. As soon as she saw that the man's steps stopped, she did too, seconds later she was ushered into a car.
- As she looked up, the first thing her eyes saw was a pair of blue eyes shining in the darkness, immediately she felt terror, suspecting that this would not be her way home, but rather the path to hell itself...
- [...]
- The elevator doors opened and, as they did, the first thing Casey Monroe saw was the impressive engraving on the wall of the reception, it was the initials of the M&A assembly plant. The young woman smiled, every time she attended the meetings her father organized, she smiled at seeing the initial of her surname Monroe engraved on that whitewashed wall, it was quite a pride. Of course, the other initial belonged to the Acrom surname, belonging to Cauther Lancer Acrom, the partner and best friend of her father Rafael Monroe.
- Her father along with his partner, were the owners of the largest and most famous sports car assembly plants in the United States, they even had a special assembly plant for manufacturing cars for Formula-1. The M&A companies were the best-selling in the country, and it could even be said in the world.
- “Good morning, Miss Casey, welcome.”
- “Thank you very much.” She smiles at the receptionist.
- Brimming with charisma and beauty, the brunette made her way to her father's office, one that would someday be hers. But, for that to happen, she had to learn every single detail about the company. Rafael was a very jealous person, and even though she was his daughter, he wouldn't hand it over to her until she was one hundred percent immersed in the business.
- That's why Casey had a minimal stake in her father's company. So legally speaking, a thousandth part of that company belonged to her... When she reached the door of her father's office, it suddenly opened, revealing Cauther, her father's partner. The man's gaze was sometimes a bit intimidating, but her father said he was a good friend, reliable, and above all, trustworthy.
- She had to trust her father's word, as he never made mistakes. It couldn't be denied, the old man knew what he was doing.
- "Good morning, Mr. Acrom," she greeted him kindly, still not feeling ready to call him Cauther. Maybe when they became equal partners.
- "Good day," he replied without showing any emotion on his face. He walked past her, leaving a strong scent of his cologne, not even looking at her when he greeted her.
- "Casey!" her father exclaimed from inside the office. "I'm glad you've arrived, my daughter. Come in."
- "Hello, father," she greeted him with an open smile.
- "You've arrived very early, the meeting won't be for another hour."
- "I wanted to come early to see you, lately you've been working so much and I hardly see you at home."
- She sat down, drawing all of her father's attention. He was a man of athletic build despite his age. He still retained his handsomeness, which he didn't use to get a girlfriend. Her mother had died 10 years ago, and it seemed like he still hadn't gotten over it. Sometimes she suspected that he didn't move on with his life because of her, maybe he thought she would be upset.
- "I'll be home early tonight, I promise."
- "Dad, you always say the same thing and never come back for dinner," she complained.
- "You know how demanding this company is, daughter. It can't be neglected."
- Casey pursed her lips, thinking that she shouldn't be neglected either. Since her mother was no longer around, most of the time she was alone or with the nanny. And as she entered adulthood, the situation worsened, as she stopped seeing her father at night. He would come home so late, all he did was stay in that office or travel.
- "Casey?"
- "I think I'll take a walk, I'll be back for the meeting," she replied, disguising her sadness.
- "Daughter, I know I haven't been..."
- But his words were interrupted by a light knock on the door, the man ordered whoever it was to come in.
- "Mr. Monroe, Mr. West has just arrived."
- "Let him in. Casey, daughter..."
- "It's okay, father. I was already on my way out," she replied, getting up.
- "I promise we'll have dinner together tonight."
- "That would be nice," she approached the man, who stood up and kissed the brunette on the forehead.
- "See you later..."
- She bit her tongue, for a moment she thought he would say something else... but the reality was different, Rafael had long stopped showing her affection. And she wasn't sure what his reason was, but she was very sure that his distance hurt her a lot.
- As Casey was about to leave, she came face to face with Genaro West, an old friend of her father. They had known each other since college, so they were contemporaries, and had been visiting each other every day since then. Casey had known him since she could remember, he always attended their Christmas parties and brought impressive gifts. Obviously, Genaro had no children, let alone a wife.
- Like her father, the man was well-preserved. They were men who took good care of themselves despite the stress caused by their companies.
- "Wow! Look who we have here, little Monroe," the man smiled with his gleaming teeth. Genaro's greenish gaze was so paternal that it brought smiles to Casey.
- "Hello, uncle," and for that reason, since she was a child, she called him uncle.
- "This girl makes me feel old when she calls me that," Genaro hugs her with a smile, but his words were directed towards his friend. "When did she grow up so much, Rafael?"
- "I ask myself the same question every day," Rafael proudly watches his daughter.
- "I'll leave you to chat."
