Chapter 5 Pestering Question

• I had already blinked my eyes up to ten times as I waited for Sua's response. This question was so important to me that I have been waiting all my life to ask this question, and now Sua seemed speechless— How annoying was this ?
• " Sarah, I know as a wolf, I'm supposed to help you through stages of life, but something's are personal and requires you to think it through, and even much better, experience things for yourself to get the answers. You are not like other wolf, Sarah, you are rare and your kind hasn't been seen in a century. If you are a witch or not is part your self-discovery, and only you can do that for yourself. I can only help you on your discovery process, but do not have the power to discover yourself for you. Only you can do that for you," Sua explained.
• Even though I asked for her honest reply, I was secretly hoping to hear a " There's no such thing as witches so therefore, You are not a witch, but a special bla bla bla...." from her, but from the way she's sounded, she wasn't even trying to deny the existence of witches, at least, to give me a little hope that I wasn't cursed like everyone was saying. Instead, she sounded as though the existence of witches were real, and I might be one or might not be one, depending on what comes out in the cause of my self discovery. This was a very scary thing to look forward to. I hated being called a witch ! It's a taboo and I just want to be like every other werewolves. Get mated, get kids and live the life. But what if I later discovered I was a witch ? What would be my fate ? Would I keep living with it for the rest of my life ? Just the thought of it alone made my stomach churn.
• With this questions running through my mind, I sat down on the rock at the shore of water fall, admiring the cascading water. The only thing that could be heard was the rustling sounds of water and chirping of birds that brings a sense of peace to my soul. At least, I would have to feel the peace here for an hour before returning back to the hellhole of a house I was living.

• WELCOME PARTY
• THE NEXT MORNING.
• I woke up at 7 am with a smile on my face. The experience of last night with my wolf, Sua was a blissful one. Sitting on the shores of the waterfall last night would forever be memorable day to me. Sua didn't only gave me words of encouragement, but also boosted my self esteem. " You are special and everything would be fine," was the word I heard most from her before. infact, she formed a song with it which was sang through the night before getting exhausted and finally decided to return home when it was past 3am already.
• My heart filled with joy as I remembered last night. I flipped on the bed in excitement, but unlike usual, I couldn't find Lana laying next to me. As usual, I wake up so early in time to clean up and cook breakfast for the family while Lana would sleeps till god knows when. But today, she's already up ?
• Paying less attention to Lana's absence, I crawled out of my bed to go about my daily work.
• " Good morning, Sarah. Hope you had a nice sleep," Preparing to leave the room, I was greeted by Sua. The voice felt so heavenly that I subconsciously let out a bright smile. My brain wasn't aware of this.
• " Good morning Sua, you ready to keep me company as I start with my boring chores today ? " I said and Sua replied excitedly. " Yes, I'm sooo ready."
• With this, I got into my room to brush my teeth then dashed out of my room to go prepare breakfast first, before my dad gets me to do it with a slap.
• I stopped at the sitting room first to greet my parents before commencing work, but I couldn't find any of them in the sitting room.
• 'Where are they or maybe they were still sleeping ?' I wondered.
• I peeked through to window to the path my dad always practice, but I couldn't see him outside. Infact, my dad's car couldn't be seen around the environment. What was happening ? Did anything happened last night that I couldn't remember. First i couldn't find Lana in bed, and now it's my parents ?
• After walking around the house and couldn't find them, nor hear any of their voices, My mind began racing . I could remember Sua saying something about my family facing regrets for making me feel less of myself. Hope its not what I'm thinking ?
• " Sua, what did you do ? Why is no one in the house ? " I asked, already feeling suspicious of her.
• " I have no idea, Sarah . How I'm I suppose to know that ? We both arrived home and crashed on the bed together," she said innocently.
• " You said something about my parents regretting why they make me feel less of myself. hope you didn't take over my body and did something terrible," In fear, I asked and Sua breaks into laughter.
• " Ha ha ha ha. No Sarah. I didn't. There's no way I can take over without your permission, or you knowing about it. It's impossible. I guess you should check their room. Your parents and you kid sis might be inside having a meeting, you never know," Sua advised
• Following sua's advice, I walked towards my parents room and knocked a couple of times. When i got no answer, i put her my hand on the handle and edged the door open but my eyes fell on an empty room. Things were getting scary. My parents have never leaved the house this early before. They will always have breakfast first, and dad will always do a little practice to improve on fighting skill. And where was Lana? How did they all left the house that I couldn't notice? Why I'm I the only at home this early? I asked myself.
• I went into my room to get my cell phone, but upon entering my room, I heard my phone ringing, but couldn't get to it in time. I reached for the phone sitting peacefully on the nightstand and discovered I had already gotten 10 missed calls from miss Tracy, the chief maid. 8 was from last night and two was from this morning.
• " Oh shit, what the hell," I cursed as I dialled the number and put the phone to my ear. The next words I head in minute time jolted me in shock, almost dropping my phone to the floor.
• " Sarah, where are you ! " Miss Tracy screamed on the phone, almost damaging my ear drum.
• " I'm at home ma'am, is there a prob----"
• She didn't let me finish my words. " Of course there's a problem. You are supposed to be joining the other girls for cleaning this morning. Don't you want your job again ? " She asked.
• " Cleaning ? what cleaning ? I thought work was supposed to start by 12 pm today? " I asked in confusion.
• " We are preparing for Prince Patrick's home coming party today and this came to us as an emergency. We have to get everything done before 8pm when the party would kick-start. I called to remind you about the new development last night when I noticed you weren't present for our meeting yesterday but you didn't take my calls. Make sure you get your ass her in 5 minutes," Ms Tracy said and went off the phone
• A welcome party for prince Patrick ? Wow this was unexpected and indeed big. Alpha Rogan's son, Prince Patrick, had left the park four years ago to attend college abroad. It was expected of him to come after school and get mated as he prepares to take over from Alpha Rogan as the next Alpha. This is definitely where my family had gone. As the beta of our park, dad is expected to be there to monitor the arrangements and I'm guessing he went along with mum and Lana, leaving me at home like the rejected person I am. Still, I wondered what Lana was doing there. It wasn't she new how to clean or cook. What good was her presence to the palace ?
• Quickly, I suspended the cleaning and walked towards the bathroom to take my bath before running off to the palace.
