• Oh, my back hurts so much, I grumbled inwardly as I made a fruitless attempt to perform the job of a chiropractor. I heard a small crack but it didn’t do much to help the fact that my back was very much sore from all the bending over I had been putting it through.
• But I couldn't complain outwardly. Even though my entire body was screaming for me to rest, it was something I couldn't do. Not while Vanessa was still unable to take care of her child or even herself. She had not even opened her eyes for the past two days and I was scared out of my wits.
