• The moment I pulled into the driveway and switched off the ignition, Vanessa reached for the seatbelt and unclasped it, swinging it off her body in quite a haste. Removing the seatbelt and helping her out of the car was my job but it seemed like she had no need for my services at the moment.
• My eyes followed her movements in surprise as she propped open the car door a few seconds after she had rid herself of the seatbelt and carefully placed one foot out. She swung her bag over her shoulder as she attempted to move out of the car's confinements all by herself.
