Chapter 95 Speaking Boldly
- Lucian waited for Anna to reach his side as she walked on her own, till by the end of the bed. As she slowly moved, Anna was checking her recovery by feeling herself, her wound, and her balance. She had the IV stand to support her walk from the bed to the washroom earlier. This time, she was going to walk on her feet, alone. So she did not rush herself. It would be too foolish to move rapidly and injure herself again in the process. She had to be wise enough to be cautious and recover as soon as possible. Because apparently, she has so many things to do, too many people to meet, people to talk to, people to confront, and many more that had everything, and has anything to do with her parents' death. A tragedy in her family which she is hell-bent on avenging.
- The two walked side by side. Lucian was cautious and keenly observant of Brianna's every move. He wanted to make sure she wasn't pushing herself too far. She might have been trained that way. But Lucien wanted to reason out and argue that during those times, it was different because he was not there to stop any of it. But now he is right beside her; she didn't have to do anything beyond her limit.
- And he wasn't going to let her to, even if she got mad at him. He can assist her. Whether she thinks she needs it or not. But Lucien did not say anything; he was just preparing his thoughts if he saw anything that he could not keep his reactions for himself and burst out. He prepared even his reasons in his mind. Hence, Lucien was satisfied when he noticed Anna was also cautiously moving; never in any way abrupt, like he was worried she would do.
