• Lucien led Clark towards his study room. He was still looking worried and so silent.
• The young doctor was quietly observing his friend's unusual behavior. He was actually amused at how a cold man like Lucien Michaelson can be changed by such a beauty in a very quick span of time. If he was not mistaken, he heard Lucien said, they just met earlier today. But things had been so fast. Maybe Lucien is only guilty, thinking he brought this misfortune upon the lady. But Clark can sense something more than that. He wasn't so sure, but he thinks the guilty feeling is absolutely present, but there is more than that. More than just feeling guilty.
